Welcome to Couchy ("the App"), developed by Erşah Atmaca. By using this App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

1. Purpose of the App

Couchy is a personal tool designed to help you:

• Take notes before, during, and after therapy sessions
• Record and transcribe therapy sessions (with appropriate consent)
• Track your mood and emotional patterns
• Reflect on your therapy journey with AI-assisted insights

Important: This App is not a replacement for professional therapy, counseling, or medical treatment. It is a supplementary note-taking and reflection tool only.

2. Not Medical or Therapeutic Advice

Nothing in this App—including AI-generated responses, suggestions, questions, or analysis—constitutes medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. The AI companion is a reflection tool, not a therapist.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or emergency services immediately.

3. AI Features Disclaimer

The AI features are powered by language models that:

• May produce inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate responses
• Cannot understand context the way a human therapist can
• Should not be relied upon for important decisions
• Are provided "as is" without guarantees

Use your own judgment when interpreting AI-generated content.

4. Recording Consent

If you use the audio recording feature during therapy sessions, you are responsible for obtaining proper consent from all parties being recorded. Recording laws vary by jurisdiction. The App does not verify consent—this is your responsibility.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the App lawfully and for its intended purpose
• Not use the App to harm yourself or others
• Take responsibility for the content you create and store
• Obtain necessary consent before recording others

6. Subscriptions & Payments

Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store and managed via RevenueCat. By subscribing, you also agree to Apple's terms of service.

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
• Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings
• No refunds for partial subscription periods

7. Intellectual Property

All content within the App—including design, prompts, AI behavior, and branding—is the property of Erşah Atmaca. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App without written permission.

Your personal data and content remain yours.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties
• We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App
• We are not responsible for decisions you make based on App content
• We are not liable for data loss (please maintain your own backups if needed)

9. Age Requirement

This App is intended for users aged 17 and older due to its mental health and therapy-related content.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict access to the App at any time, for any reason, without notice.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Turkey, without regard to conflict of law principles.
