a. Dream Journal Entries

The App allows you to record dream journal entries, including dream descriptions, moods, themes, tags, and lucid dream details. This information is stored locally on your device using Core Data.

b. AI Chat Feature

When you use the AI dream discussion feature, your inputs are processed by the OpenAI API to provide conversational responses about dreams and lucid dreaming. These conversations are not stored by the App beyond your local device.

c. Device Storage

All dream journal data is stored locally on your device. We do not transmit or store your dream journal entries on external servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

a. Dream Journaling

Your dream entries are stored locally to allow you to track, review, and analyze your dreams over time. This data remains private on your device.

b. AI Dream Discussion

When you chat with the AI about your dreams, your inputs are processed by the OpenAI API to provide personalized responses and insights. These inputs are not stored by the App but are processed according to OpenAI's privacy policy.

c. App Functionality

We use your data solely to provide the core features of the App, including dream tracking, lucid dream analysis, and AI-powered dream discussion.

3. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data or dream journal entries with third parties. The only external service used is the OpenAI API for the AI chat feature, and any inputs processed are handled in accordance with OpenAI's privacy policy. Your dream journal entries remain private and are never transmitted to external servers.

4. Data Security

a. Local Storage

All dream journal data is stored securely on your device using Core Data encryption.

b. API Security

When using the AI chat feature, communications with the OpenAI API are transmitted over secure, encrypted connections.

c. Limitations

While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Data Rights

a. Access and Control

You have full control over your dream journal entries and can view, edit, or delete them at any time through the App.

b. Data Deletion

If you delete the App from your device, all locally stored dream journal data will be permanently removed.

c. Opt-Out

You can choose not to use the AI chat feature if you prefer not to have your dream-related questions processed by the OpenAI API.

6. Children's Privacy

The App does not specifically target children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personal information from a child under the age of 13, we will delete such information from our records.

7. Third-Party Services

The App uses the OpenAI API to provide AI-powered dream discussion features. Please refer to OpenAI's privacy policy for information on how they handle data.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
